Tales of the Abyss - S01

The world of Auldrant is governed by the Score, an ancient prophecy that predicts every event in the future. People accept it as inevitable fate, even when it leads to violence and suffering. With the power of the Fonic Arts, the nations of Kimlasca-Lanvaldear and the Malkuth Empire fight a war, believing it will fulfill the Score's vision of a perfect world. "Tales of the Abyss" centers on Luke von Fabre, a young man confined to his manor after being kidnapped as a child and left with no memory of his past. During a swordsmanship lesson, a woman named Tear tries to kill his instructor. Luke intervenes, but their confrontation sends them both far from home. What begins as a simple journey back soon becomes a mission that could either liberate the world from the Score's control or bring about its ruin.
