Sweet Sixteen - S01

Aired on TV Asahi in 1981, this 111-minute adaptation of Mary Shelley's "Frankenstein" follows a familiar version of the story. In a grim castle, Dr. Victor Frankenstein conducts a gruesome experiment, aiming to revive the dead. With his assistant's help, he succeeds in bringing a stitched-together corpse back to life-but the creature is terrifying and unstable. Horrified, the doctor flees to Switzerland, leaving his assistant to dispose of the monster. Yet as strange murders begin occurring around him, Dr. Frankenstein wonders if his creation truly perished-or if his past is catching up to him.
