Suzuka - S01

Yamato Akitsuki, a teenager from rural Hiroshima, moves to Tokyo to start high school. In exchange for room and board, he helps his aunt and cousin manage their bathhouse and the adjoining girls-only dormitory where he’ll be living. While heading to meet his relatives, he stops at a nearby high school track and is captivated by a girl practicing high jumps. He soon learns the high jumper, Suzuka Asahina, lives in the same dorm and attends his school. A highly regarded track athlete, Suzuka is a perfectionist who dislikes Yamato’s careless, clumsy demeanor and struggles to tolerate him. Hoping to impress her, Yamato joins the track team after realizing he has a natural talent for sprinting. As he trains with the team, bonds with classmates, and deals with the dorm’s perpetually drunk college students, he pushes himself to improve as both an athlete and a person-even if it means running himself ragged.
