Sunday Without God - S01

The world has been forsaken by God. Without His presence, life cannot begin or end, leaving the dead to wander endlessly among the living. Before disappearing forever, God bestowed one final miracle: the creation of "gravekeepers," beings with the power to lay the dead to rest through proper burial. Ai, a bright but innocent girl, has taken on the role of gravekeeper for her village after her mother’s passing. One day, a man named Hampnie Hambart-who claims to be Ai’s father-arrives and slaughters everyone in her village. With nothing left and no direction, Ai chooses to follow this enigmatic man on his travels. As she journeys across the land, the young gravekeeper carries out her duty, offering peace to the dead and aid to the living, all while uncovering the truths of a world left broken by God’s absence.
