Summer Time Rendering - S01

After his parents' death, Shinpei Ajiro lived with the Kofune family and their two daughters, Mio and Ushio. Though he later left their island home to study in Tokyo, he returns when Ushio drowns while trying to save a child. At the funeral, his closest friend reveals bruises on Ushio's neck, raising questions about whether her death was truly an accident. Convinced she was murdered, Shinpei reexamines recent events, only for more unsettling incidents to unfold. As people vanish and unexplainable phenomena arise, Mio remembers an old legend about beings called "Shadows"-and the possibility that they're real. According to the tale, meeting one's own Shadow means death is near. Now forced to confront the darkness lurking on Hitogashima Island, Shinpei fights against his own grim fate to honor Ushio's last wish: keeping Mio safe.
