Summer Ghost

Legend says fireworks can soothe the spirits of the dead. For Tomoya Sugisaki, Aoi Harukawa, and Ryou Kobayashi, fireworks brought them face to face with the Summer Ghost-a spirit rumored to be a young woman who took her own life. She only appears in one place and is visible only to those teetering on the edge of death. Tomoya is an artistic boy stifled by the pressure to excel in school. Aoi is a quiet girl tormented by relentless bullying. Ryou, once a promising basketball player, had to abandon his dreams after a devastating diagnosis. Their only connection is their ability to see the Summer Ghost, who is said to hold answers to every question about death-something all three are desperate to understand. Unsatisfied after their first encounter, Tomoya seeks out the ghost again. But the more he learns about her, the deeper the mystery of her existence becomes.
