Spirit Blade Mountain - S01

Long ago, in the nine provinces of Kyushu, a prophecy foretold a great disaster-falling comets would drain the spiritual energy of the heavens and earth, plunging the world into chaos. Yet when the comets passed, no catastrophe occurred. Around that same time, a boy named Ouriku was born in a remote village in the Sokei region, as if influenced by the event. Twelve years later, with the prophecy all but forgotten, the Reikenzan clan-one of Kyushu’s five great sects-announces an examination to recruit the most gifted disciples, who may one day become sages. Learning of this, Ouriku and his servant Ouchou set out for the trials, unaware that the organizer, Oubu, is notoriously unreliable despite her refined demeanor. Her whims make the challenges unpredictable. "Reikenzan: Hoshikuzu-tachi no Utage" follows Ouriku as he navigates these trials on his path to becoming a sage.
