Scumbag System - S01

Shen Yuan is all too familiar with the tropes of xianxia novels-how the hero inevitably turns to demonic cultivation, gets revenge on his awful master, and ends up surrounded by admirers. So when he finds himself transported into the world of "Proud Immortal Demon Way," he knows exactly how the story should unfold. The catch? He isn’t the protagonist. Instead, he’s been reborn as the very same scumbag master destined for a brutal downfall. Now going by the name Shen Qingqiu, Shen Yuan is determined to rewrite his fate and avoid being destroyed by his future disciple, Luo Binghe, the novel’s main character. But breaking away from the original Shen Qingqiu’s cruel nature isn’t easy-a strict system punishes any behavior that strays too far from the plot’s intended path. His only hope is to win over Luo Binghe before resentment takes root. Yet with the story’s predetermined tragedies still looming, Shen Qingqiu has a difficult road ahead if he wants to survive his disciple’s eventual rise to power.
