Scarlet Nexus - S01
In 2020, a nation is under constant threat from the "Others"-strange monsters that descend from the sky and consume human brains. Around the same time, scientists discover psionics, a hormone that grants certain people psychic abilities capable of fighting the Others. To defend humanity, the nation’s founder creates the Other Suppression Force (OSF),known as the Scarlet Guardians, where young psionics train rigorously to join its ranks. During an induction ceremony for the newest Scarlet Guardians, Yuito Sumeragi, the founder’s driven son, stands among the elite recruits. Years earlier, at age five, he was saved by a woman in the OSF, and now he’s determined to repay that debt by serving in the force. But when he meets his new teammates, he’s startled-one of them bears a striking resemblance to his childhood savior. Yet this mystery is the least of his concerns, as a hidden conspiracy begins to unfold, one that could threaten the entire nation.
