Samurai Deeper Kyo - S01
In 1600, during the fog-shrouded Battle of Sekigahara, two master swordsmen faced off in a brutal duel. One was Kyoushirou Mibu, a noble warrior with the rare abilities of the Mibu Clan. The other was the infamous "Demon Eyes" Kyou, a crimson-haired swordsman known as the thousand-man slayer. Their legendary fight was interrupted when a meteor struck the battlefield, causing both to disappear. Four years later, a bounty hunter named Yuya Shiina tracks down Kyoushirou-now a wandering, lecherous medicine peddler deep in debt. As she tries to collect her reward, they’re ambushed by a monstrous creature intent on consuming Kyoushirou. The attack awakens "Demon Eyes" Kyou, whose consciousness has been imprisoned within Kyoushirou’s body since their last battle. This sets in motion a sweeping story of two legendary swordsmen and the unraveling of their hidden past.
