Rurouni Kenshin

Ten years have passed since the Bakumatsu war, when rebels fought against the Tokugawa shogunate in hopes of building a peaceful, free nation. Now the Meiji era has arrived, but true peace remains out of reach. Though swords are outlawed, killings still plague the streets. Children of fallen soldiers are left to fend for themselves, while corrupt officials grow richer, indifferent to the suffering around them.
