Queen Millennia - S01

The year is 1999. Hajime Amamori is an ordinary elementary school kid, spending his days studying and goofing around with his friends. But everything changes when his father’s experimental device malfunctions and explodes, destroying their home and leaving Hajime an orphan. He’s taken in by his uncle, an astronomer, and moves into the observatory where he meets Yukino Yayoi, a girl he’s noticed before and has a bit of a crush on. Yayoi’s parents own a ramen shop in town, and to Hajime’s delight, she also works as his uncle’s assistant. But Yayoi isn’t just a normal girl. She has a secret mission: she’s the Millennial Queen ("Sen-Nen Joou"),sent by her home planet, LaMetal, to prepare Earth for an impending disaster. LaMetal’s highly elliptical orbit brings it dangerously close to Earth every thousand years, triggering catastrophic natural disasters. Though her people expect her to prioritize LaMetal’s safety, Yayoi’s own goal is to save as many humans as possible by evacuating them to her planet before Earth is destroyed. Standing in her way is the leader of the Millennial Thieves. His motives for opposing her are unclear, as is how he even knows about the Millennial Queen’s existence. What does he really want? And can Yayoi carry out her plan before it’s too late?
