Miu has loved the piano since she was little and has been taking lessons for years. Now in middle school, she’s a shy, soft-spoken girl who lacks confidence. Though others say she’s skilled, Miu doesn’t believe she’s good at anything-even the piano. Her teacher, Mr. Shirakawa, gets frustrated with her playing; while her notes are perfect, her performances lack passion. At the same time, Miu is starting to notice boys, particularly the handsome Kazuya Takahashi-though he hasn’t paid her any attention. This is Miu’s story: a quiet girl searching for the music inside her heart and the courage to let it be heard.
