Patalliro Saiyuki! - S01
Genjou Sanzou, a Buddhist monk, is sent by the Emperor on a quest to retrieve sacred scriptures. During his journey, an Earth Deity informs him that Buddha has assigned him a disciple-Son Goku, the mischievous Monkey Deity who was imprisoned in a mountain for five centuries after causing chaos in Heaven. Joined by the laid-back, wine-loving Cho Hakkai, the former heavenly general Sagojyou, and their horse-the Dragon Crown Prince Ryuuba-the group embarks on a series of adventures, from battling monsters to competing in "bishounen" contests.
