Otaku no Video - S01

"Otaku no Video" loosely draws from the real origins of Gainax, exploring the world of otaku culture through the story of Takeshi Kubo. At first, Kubo lives an ordinary life, but after falling in with a group of otaku, he gradually embraces their lifestyle. His obsession grows until he fully commits, aiming to become the ultimate otaku-the "otaking." Interspersed with the story are documentary-style interviews featuring real-life otaku, covering not just anime and manga fandom but also sci-fi enthusiasts, military buffs, and other niche Japanese subcultures.
