Fourteen years after his battle with the immortal warrior Himuro Genma and his victory over the Shogun of the Dark, Kibagami Jubei still wanders Japan as a lone swordsman with no master. On his travels, he encounters Shigure, a priestess who has never left her isolated village. But when demons attack, wiping out the village and its people, Jubei finds himself pursued after taking possession of the mysterious Dragon Jewel. Meanwhile, Shigure-accompanied by the monk Dakuan and a young thief named Tsubute-journeys toward the village of Yagyu. With two demon clans now tracking Shigure, Dakuan must enlist Jubei’s help once more to safeguard the Priestess of Light.
