Nagi-Asu: A Lull in the Sea

Long ago, humanity lived beneath the sea, but some chose to leave the water behind and settle on the surface. As punishment, they lost their "Ena," a divine gift that allowed them to breathe underwater. Over time, the divide between sea and surface people grew, though they never completely lost touch. The story follows Hikari Sakishima and Manaka Mukaido, along with their childhood friends Chisaki Hiradaira and Kaname Isaki, as they leave their underwater home to attend school on the surface. There, they meet Tsumugu Kihara, a surface-dwelling student and fisherman with a deep love for the sea. As Hikari and his friends navigate their new lives, they must confront the deep-seated prejudice between sea and surface people, the turmoil in their own relationships, and the looming threat of a catastrophic storm that could destroy everything on the surface.
