Monochrome Factor - S01

High school student Akira Nikaido is an ordinary slacker coasting through life-until the enigmatic Shirogane appears, claiming they share a destined bond. Skeptical, Akira dismisses the idea entirely. But when his friend Aya forgets something at school one night and asks for his help, their search leads to a terrifying encounter with a shadowy creature. Shirogane reveals that the balance between the human and shadow worlds is crumbling, and Akira must become a "shin," a being of the shadow realm, to help fix it. The anime includes shonen-ai elements not present in the original manga.
