Makai Ouji: Devils and Realist - S01

Seventeen-year-old William Twining prides himself on his noble heritage and his dedication to modern science. But when his family goes bankrupt, the arrogant young aristocrat must face the harsh truth-he can no longer pay for his education or maintain his lavish lifestyle. Frantically searching his manor for anything of value, he stumbles upon a hidden room and unknowingly summons Dantalion, the haughty Grand Duke of Hell. As it turns out, Lucifer, the ruler of Hell, has fallen into a deep sleep. With no one to take his place, only the human "Elector" holds the power to choose a temporary successor-a situation causing unrest among demons. Though William is told he’s a direct descendant of King Solomon with absolute authority in the underworld, he refuses to accept it. Denying the very existence of magic and the supernatural, the stubborn realist doesn’t realize he’s become the key figure in the escalating conflict between Heaven and Hell.
