Maison Ikkoku - S01

In the quiet town of Clock Hill stands an old boarding house named Maison Ikkoku. Though the building itself is unremarkable, its residents are anything but. Yuusaku Godai, the most reserved tenant, has grown tired of his noisy neighbors and their endless parties. Hoping for a quieter place to focus on his studies, he prepares to move out. Everything changes when he meets Kyoko Otonashi, the boarding house’s new manager. Smitten at first sight, Godai reconsiders leaving. But Kyoko has her own struggles-she’s a widow, having lost her husband just six months into their marriage. Though she begins to develop feelings for Godai, she remains devoted to her late husband, convinced no one could ever replace him. Yet with Godai’s determination and the unlikely support of the house’s quirky tenants, she might just find love again.
