Kono Oto Tomare!: Sounds of Life - S01

The Tokise High School Koto Club pushed through their shaky, out-of-sync performance at the Kanto Region Traditional Japanese Music Festival, only to be crushed by the disappointing results. Despite their heartbreak, Chika Kudou, Satowa Houzuki, Takezou Kurata, Hiro Kurusu, Kouta Mizuhara, Saneyasu Adachi, and Michitaka Sakai recognize their potential and vow to sharpen their skills, fix their flaws, and reach a higher level of playing before the winter national qualifiers. With their now-committed club advisor, Suzuka Takinami, their goal starts to feel within reach as they learn the fundamentals of good music and refine their koto techniques. They decide to perform more often to gain the experience they sorely lack. Yet, as they work toward nationals, new obstacles test their focus. The looming threat of rival schools and skilled musicians isn't their only concern-budding romances and the impending graduation of seniors stretch the group's determination and threaten the future of the koto club itself.
