Kemurikusa - S01

In a barren wasteland, a group of young girls with unusual abilities live alongside a tree that has grown through an abandoned railcar, scavenging for the last remaining sources of water. Their harsh daily struggle is upended when Wakaba, a boy with no memory beyond his name, appears in their lives. Together, they embark on a treacherous journey across oceans of crimson fog, venturing toward distant islands teeming with deadly robotic insects-hoping to find the resources they need to survive. Their chances depend on their own resilience and Wakaba’s strange gift: the ability to comprehend the Kemurikusa, glowing leaves with extraordinary powers. Aside from the girls, Wakaba, and the swarms of relentless bugs, the Kemurikusa are the only remnants of life in this ruined world. Questions linger in the emptiness-why are there so many deserted buildings with no inhabitants? How did the world become this way? With no answers, Wakaba and the girls can only seek the truth hidden within the Kemurikusa itself.
