Katsugeki: Touken Ranbu

The year is 1863, and Japan is divided between those who support the shogunate and those who oppose it as the samurai era nears its end. The world’s fate hangs in the balance when an army of historical revisionists arrives from the future, intent on rewriting history. To stop them and preserve the true past, two sword warriors-spirits given human form by a Saniwa sage-hurry to Edo. One is the courteous and reflective Horikawa Kunihiro, the other the brash but skilled Izuminokami Kanesada, both once wielded by the same master. Alongside them fight a spirited band of warriors, including Mutsunokami Yoshiyuki, Yagen Toushirou, Tombokiri, and Tsurumaru Kuninaga.
