Kappa no Kaikata - S01

On his way home, a young man spots a kappa in a pet shop window and impulsively buys it. He names the creature Kaatan and brings him home, though he has no experience caring for a kappa. To help, he buys a book on raising and training them, which makes the process sound straightforward. The book offers useful advice for raising a smart, well-behaved kappa-but putting those tips into practice proves harder than expected. Kaatan sometimes grasps what he’s taught, but more often forgets or simply doesn’t care to learn. Still, the young man refuses to give up, patiently continuing his efforts to turn Kaatan into a pet he can be proud of, even if success seems unlikely.
