Kaiju No. 8 - S01

After the operation that captured Kafka Hibino-also known as Kaiju No. 8-the Defense Force struggles with how to handle him. As the first kaiju to ally with humans, Kafka is eventually assigned to the elite First Division, where his power could bolster their strongest fighters. But skepticism lingers, and Kafka must prove himself in the field. When a swarm of ant-like kaiju attacks, Kafka, his ally Kikoru Shinomiya, and their captain, Gen Narumi, join the fight. The mission appears to be going smoothly-until Kafka can’t transform into his kaiju form. Things worsen when the deadly Kaiju No. 9 appears, targeting Kafka to steal his power. Facing overwhelming odds, Kafka must push through his toughest challenge yet if he hopes to stay on the path toward his goal: fighting alongside his childhood friend and Third Division captain, Mina Ashiro.
