Kaiji - S01

Kaiji Itou is a listless slacker whose coworker sticks him with an unpaid debt. When loan sharks come to collect, Kaiji has no way to pay them back-until he’s offered a chance to board the Espoir, a ship rumored to erase all debts in a single night. What starts as a night of gambling soon becomes a brutal contest of cunning and deception. The losers face a lifetime of forced labor, so Kaiji must watch every move and question every alliance. But this is just the first in a string of high-stakes games that will push his mind and survival instincts to the limit.
