Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress - S01

During the industrial revolution, a terrifying virus unleashes monstrous creatures called "Kabane" that tear through human flesh with an insatiable hunger. These horrors can only be killed by destroying their steel-plated hearts, but a single bite from one seals a victim's fate-turning them into another mindless member of the undead. Most civilizations have fallen, leaving only the strongest fortresses standing. On the island of Hinomoto, humanity survives behind towering walls, accessible only by heavily armored trains. Among those maintaining these lifelines is Ikoma, a young engineer who has crafted a weapon he believes can pierce the Kabane's hearts with ease. He longs for the day he can test his invention in battle-but that day arrives far sooner than he imagined.
