Alina Clover takes a job as a receptionist at an adventurers' guild, convinced it will be a safe, stable career-unlike the dangerous lives of the dungeon-crawling adventurers she serves. She dreams of clocking out on time, but endless paperwork keeps her working late. When adventurers fail to clear dungeon bosses quickly, the backlog worsens, trapping her in even more overtime. Frustrated, she secretly dons a disguise and handles the bosses herself, earning a fearsome reputation as the "Executioner." For two years, she keeps this double life hidden-until she eliminates a boss meant for the elite party Silver Sword. Their sharp-witted leader, Jade Scrade, figures out her secret, threatening Alina's hopes for a quiet, ordinary life.
