Holmes of Kyoto - S01

After a recent breakup, high schooler Aoi Mashiro decides to return home to confront her ex-boyfriend. To afford the train ticket, she steals two hanging scrolls from her grandfather’s attic and takes them to an antique shop in Kyoto’s Teramachi Sanjou shopping district, unaware that this trip will change her life. At the shop, she meets Kiyotaka Yagashira, the owner’s grandson and a Kyoto University graduate student. Known as "Holmes" for his sharp deductive skills and a clever play on his name, Kiyotaka examines the scrolls and realizes Aoi has a natural intuition similar to his own. Moved by her situation, he offers her a part-time job so she can earn the money honestly. Soon, Aoi and Kiyotaka start working together-not just in the shop, but also helping locals solve their problems. With his keen mind and her instinctive insight, they make a formidable team, like a modern Holmes and Watson.
