Clutching his Gibson guitar tightly, Mafuyu Satou leaves his gloomy apartment for another ordinary day at high school. While dozing off on the quiet gym staircase, he meets Ritsuka Uenoyama, who scolds him for neglecting his guitar and letting the strings rust and snap. Impressed by Uenoyama's expertise, Satou begs him to fix the guitar and teach him how to play. Uenoyama reluctantly agrees and later invites Satou to join a practice session with his bandmates-Haruki Nakayama on bass and Akihiko Kaji on drums. When Satou sings, his voice is stunning, stirring Uenoyama’s resolve to recruit him as the band’s vocalist. At first hesitant, Satou finally accepts after an emotional reunion with an old friend. With his new bandmates by his side, he begins learning guitar while also confronting the unresolved past that brought the instrument into his hands.
