Giant Beasts of ARS - S01

In the world of Ars, humans have waged a decades-long war against massive beasts that devastate the land and consume its resources. The warriors known as Paladins fight these creatures using the destructive magic of Clerics-beings cursed with uncontrollable power. Jiiro, a former Paladin grieving the loss of his war partner, encounters Kuumi, a young woman who has just awakened her own magic. When they form a contract to defend their city from a rampaging beast, Jiiro learns Kuumi has escaped a lab and is being hunted by Mezami, the facility’s ruthless leader, and his underlings. Though hesitant, Jiiro agrees to help Kuumi escape, traveling with her and her friend Myaa, a girl who wears a cat-like headdress. As the three journey across Ars, powerful figures set their schemes in motion-and the travelers soon realize the true monsters may not be the beasts, but the men pulling the strings.
