First Love Monster - S01

Kaho Nikaidou comes from a powerful family, so no one has ever dared to speak harshly to her-afraid of angering her influential relatives. Wanting to be around people who won’t treat her differently because of her status, she moves into a dormitory for her freshman year of high school. Shortly after arriving, she nearly steps into traffic but is saved by a tall, good-looking stranger. When she asks his name, he calls her weird and walks away. For the first time, someone has spoken bluntly to her, and Kaho finds herself instantly smitten. She later learns his name is Kanade Takahashi and confesses her feelings. Kanade agrees to date her but warns she might change her mind once she learns his secret. To her astonishment, she discovers the truth: Kanade is actually in fifth grade. Though she initially plans to break up with him, Kaho can’t help but grow fonder of Kanade the more time they spend together. Despite his immaturity, he’s kindhearted, and she decides to stay with him. "Hatsukoi Monster" follows Kaho’s first awkward, tender steps into love with her much younger, yet surprisingly sincere, boyfriend.
