Danganronpa: The Animation - S01

Makoto Naegi is an ordinary teenager with no special abilities, so he's shocked when he's accepted into Hope's Peak Private Academy, a prestigious school that only admits the most exceptional students. Though he suspects his acceptance was just luck, he's excited to attend a school famous for guaranteeing success to its graduates. Eager to start, he steps through the academy's doors. But things take a dark turn when he blacks out and wakes up in a deserted classroom. Confused and disoriented, Naegi searches for answers and eventually finds his classmates gathered in the gym. As they all try to piece together what's happening, they're interrupted by the school's so-called principal-Monokuma, a robotic teddy bear. The unsettling figure announces that the students are now prisoners of the school, and the only way out is to kill one of their peers without getting caught. Fear and distrust spread as Naegi and the others grasp the horrifying choice before them: either play along with Monokuma's twisted game or spend the rest of their lives trapped inside the school.
