Crest of the Stars - S03

The Bebaus brothers' rapidly expanding fleet has left their newly conquered worlds without ambassadors, so Lafiel is assigned as Territorial Ambassador for Lobnas II. When she and Jinto arrive, they learn the planet was once a United Mankind prison colony, now home to a million prisoners confined to a single island. The prisoners are divided into three sectors: the western block for women, the eastern for men, and a central mixed zone where all inmates are sterilized. The women in the west wish to escape the planet, fearing the men, but when they attempt to leave, the men revolt-overpowering the guards and taking Jinto hostage to halt their departure. Meanwhile, an enemy fleet approaches the system, forcing Lafiel to leave Jinto behind.
