Child of Kamiari Month

Kanna Hayama, a sixth-grader who loves running, is heartbroken after losing her mother Yayoi, the person who shared her passion. But everything changes when she stumbles upon an unbelievable secret about Yayoi. One day, Kanna meets a divine messenger-her beloved rabbit Shiro and a demon boy named Yasha. They tell her that her mother was an "Idaten," a descendant of the gods gifted with extraordinary speed. Yayoi’s duty was to gather offerings from across Japan and deliver them to the annual Kamiari Festival in Izumo. Now, as Yayoi’s daughter and the new bearer of the Idaten amulet, Kanna must take on this task-or risk terrible consequences for the country’s future. Drawn by the chance to see her mother again at the gods’ gathering, Kanna agrees and sets off with Shiro and Yasha’s help. But this journey, like a marathon, will push her body and spirit in ways she doesn’t yet realize.
