Campione! - S01

The gods of this world are real, though humans remain unaware of their existence. These "Heretic Gods" wage unseen wars, leaving destruction in their wake that mortals mistake for unavoidable natural disasters. Sixteen-year-old Godou Kusanagi is just a high school student until his grandfather sends him to Italy to return a mysterious tablet to a friend. There, he finds himself caught in a battle between two Heretic Gods alongside Erica Blandelli, a witch dedicated to defending humanity. To his own surprise, Godou defeats the god of war in combat, becoming a "Campione"-a "God Slayer" tasked with opposing the Heretic Gods. Now, as a newly minted Campione, Godou draws the attention of both vengeful gods eager to test him and devoted followers-mostly women-who offer their support in his battles. "Campione!: Matsurowanu Kamigami to Kamigoroshi no Maou" follows Godou as he navigates the clashes between deities and the fate of the world hangs in the balance.
