Bokurano - S01

Fifteen kids at summer camp are enjoying their vacation when they discover a hidden cave near the beach. Deep inside, they find a strange room where a man named Kokopelli invites them to play a game-one where they take turns controlling a robot to defend Earth from alien threats. Thinking it’s just a fun computer game, all but one child sign a contract to participate. Later, an actual giant robot appears, and the kids are suddenly transported into its cockpit. Kokopelli pilots the machine in battle against another robotic creature nearby. After winning the fight, Kokopelli starts to apologize, but the kids are abruptly sent back to the ground amid the wreckage. As the shock of the battle wears off, the robot vanishes, leaving the children frightened and unsure of what just happened. What seemed like a harmless game at first turns out to be something far more dangerous-and the kids soon realize their choices in this battle are deeply connected to their own pasts.
