Bokura ga ita - S01

As Nanami Takahashi starts her first year of high school, she’s excited at the prospect of making new friends. She meets the quiet Yuri Yamamoto, who tells her about Yano Motoharu, a popular boy in their class. Yuri dislikes Yano because of his past relationship with her older sister, Nana, and Nanami initially finds his attitude off-putting too. But as she gets to know him better, Nanami starts to see Yano in a different light and develops feelings for him. The two grow closer and eventually begin dating. Their relationship isn’t easy, though. Yano struggles to be emotionally open with Nanami because his first girlfriend, Nana, died in a car accident the previous year-while she was with one of her ex-boyfriends. Haunted by the memory of his past with Nana, Yano and Nanami face constant misunderstandings and pain, testing their love as they try to move forward together.
