Bloodivores - S01

Sixty years ago, a bizarre outbreak of insomnia swept through the population, leaving people unable to sleep for over a week. The sleep-deprived victims all descended into madness. A new drug was developed to cure the illness, but its side effects transformed patients into vampires. Humanity waged war against this new species and won-though some vampires survived. Mi Liu, the protagonist, is the "Child of Hope," born from a human and a vampire, destined to bridge the divide between the two races. After leading a bank robbery, Mi Liu is captured and sent to a special prison run by the National Defense Agency, which monitors vampires. While trying to escape with Anji, they’re attacked by strange monsters and discover the prison stands on the ruins of "Blue Town," the ancient birthplace of vampires. Why are vampires confined to Blue Town? What are these creatures hunting them? Mi Liu and their allies must battle to uncover the truth.
