Black Rock Shooter
On the first day of junior high, Mato Kuroi crosses paths with Yomi Takanashi, a quiet and reserved girl who catches her attention right away. Mato does her best to reach out to Yomi, eager to befriend her, but Yomi keeps her distance-until she spots a small blue bird charm on Mato’s phone, a reference to the book "Li’l Birds At Play." Realizing they share a love for the same story, the two quickly grow close. Meanwhile, in another world, their counterparts exist as different versions of themselves: Mato becomes Black Rock Shooter, and Yomi becomes Dead Master. Unbeknownst to them, events in one world ripple into the other, weaving their fates together without either girl realizing it.
