Black Butler - S01
Queen Victoria of England tasks her trusted agent, 13-year-old Earl Ciel Phantomhive, with looking into a string of mysterious deaths in southern Germany. The victims all share one eerie detail: they had ventured into the so-called Werewolves' Forest shortly before developing grotesque deformities and dying. Local rumors attribute the deaths to a "witch's curse," a belief deeply rooted in the villagers' folklore. Skeptical of supernatural explanations, Ciel and his demon butler, Sebastian Michaelis-along with the rest of the Phantomhive household-arrive at a secluded village in the Werewolves' Forest. The village is inhabited solely by women, who are unwelcoming to outsiders and serve a young girl named Sieglinde "Green Witch" Sullivan, who has emerald eyes and bound feet. As Ciel and Sebastian dig deeper, they too fall prey to the curse, forcing them to confront the unsettling possibility that the local legends may hold more truth than they imagined.
