Black Bullet - S01
In 2021, a parasitic virus called "Gastrea" transforms infected humans into monsters. The remnants of humanity survive behind Monolith walls, constructed from Varanium-the only substance capable of harming Gastrea. To combat the Gastrea threat, "Cursed Children"-young girls with traces of the virus in their bodies, granting them superhuman abilities-are paired with partners known as Promoters. Officially called Initiators by the Tendo Civil Security, these girls are guided and protected by their Promoters as they work together to fight the Gastrea monsters and hold them back. "Black Bullet" follows the duo of Enju Aihara, an Initiator, and Satomi Rentaro, her Promoter, as they take on missions to defend their home in Tokyo against the relentless Gastrea threat.
