BEM - S01

Sonia Summers, a young detective, has been reassigned to the outskirts of the port city Libra after clashing with her superiors. Libra is divided into two distinct areas: "the Upper," a wealthy political hub, and "the Outside," a lawless district plagued by crime, corruption, and strange incidents involving monsters-or youkai. As Sonia investigates these cases, she keeps uncovering signs of these supernatural beings. Her path soon intersects with three unusual humanoid youkai-Bem, Bela, and Belo-who protect humans from the violent youkai that haunt them. Known as "Youkai-Ningen," they are shunned by other youkai for living like humans, yet feared and harmed by humans when their true natures are revealed. Despite the rejection they face, the three Youkai-Ningen quietly live among humans, holding onto their dream of one day becoming human themselves.
