Bakumatsu - S02

The Bakumatsu period was a time when young men’s spirits burned with concern for their nation’s fate. Takasugi Shinsaku, a Choshu rogue, and his ally Katsura Kogorou sneak onto a government ship in search of a mysterious "timepiece" rumored to control time-an artifact Takasugi believes the government aims to hoard. Determined to prevent its misuse, he intends to destroy it, but after securing the device, it’s swiftly stolen. Pursuing the thief to Kyoto, they find the government overthrown and the god Susanoo now ruling in its place. The city and its people are unrecognizable. Though the era has shifted, their goal remains unchanged: Takasugi and Katsura must restore time and rescue their country from those who seek to seize it.
