Azumanga Daioh - S01

Chiyo Mihama starts high school as one of the most unusual students in her class-a 10-year-old academic prodigy who loves stuffed animals and home-cooked meals. But in a class led by Yukari Tanizaki, a teacher who’d steal a student’s bike to dodge being late, "unusual" is just a matter of perspective. Yukari’s homeroom is full of oddballs. Alongside Chiyo are girls like Tomo Takino, a hyperactive tomboy with more energy than sense; Koyomi Mizuhara, Tomo’s quick-tempered best friend; and Sakaki, a tall, athletic girl whose stern appearance masks a soft heart-and an unfortunate weakness for cats. Then there’s Ayumu Kasuga, a dreamy transfer student who blends right in, though she has some peculiar ideas about Chiyo’s pigtails. Together, these girls navigate the highs and lows of school life, their days packed with laughter, bizarre antics, and sometimes even quiet moments that remind them how fleeting high school really is.
