Angelique - S01

Angelique began as a dating sim for girls, first released in 1994 on the Super Famicom. Players stepped into the shoes of Angelique Limoges, an average schoolgirl unexpectedly called to the Sanctuary of the Queen of the Cosmos. She was selected to compete for the title of the next Queen, though she lacked the grace and skill of her rival, Rosalia de Cartagena-a polished candidate raised from birth for the Queen Examination. So what was this Examination? The girls had to harness the power of Sacrea, granted by the Queen's nine Guardians, to restore life to a desolate continent. Whoever guided their people to the central island linking the two continents would win. But with nine charming Guardians by their side, balancing ambition and romance wasn't easy... The story was adapted into four OVAs, each split into multiple episodes.
