Amatsuki - S01

Tokidoki Rikugou despises history and fails his Japanese History class, forcing his high school to send him to a special museum lecture to make up for it. The main attraction is a detailed recreation of the Edo Period called the "Edo Bakumatsu Walking Tour and Exhibition," designed to help struggling students like him. With little knowledge of samurai culture or the era he's thrust into, Tokidoki is taken aback by the superstitious beliefs of 1600s Japan. Skeptical of gods and demons, he’s stunned when a real demon attacks him on a bridge. A mysterious swordsman named Kuchiha saves him, but Tokidoki soon realizes he’s trapped in the museum’s simulation with no way out. After encountering another swordsman, Kon Shinonome-a fellow student trapped there before him-Tokidoki begins adapting to his strange new world. Now, he must help defend the village from demons while unraveling the secrets behind the simulation and the shadowy company that built it.
