A Place Further than the Universe - S01

Mari Tamaki has always been captivated by the world and dreamed of exploring the farthest reaches of the universe. But no matter how big her aspirations, her fear of the unknown and self-doubt have kept her from pursuing them. Now in her second year of high school, Mari refuses to let her youth slip away-yet she still can’t bring herself to take that first bold step. That changes when she meets Shirase Kobuchizawa, a girl with her own grand ambitions. Driven by her mother’s mysterious disappearance, Shirase has been tirelessly saving money for a journey to Antarctica, despite the skepticism of others. She’s determined to go, even if it means venturing to a place beyond imagination. Inspired by Shirase’s unwavering resolve, Mari decides to join her. Their mission soon draws in two more girls: the lively Hinata Miyake, who wants to make her mark, and the refined Yuzuki Shiraishi, from a wealthy family. United by their shared determination, the four set off for the frozen south, each searching for something extraordinary.
