16bitセンセーション ANOTHER LAYER
Konoha Akisato has always loved bishoujo games-interactive stories centered around beautiful girls-and dreams of becoming a successful artist. When she lands her first job as a sub-illustrator at the game company Blue Bell, she quickly realizes the grim state of the industry in 2023: flooded with lazy, cookie-cutter releases, with Blue Bell leading the decline. One day, after visiting a retro game shop and reflecting on the genre’s better days, Konoha mysteriously finds herself in 1992-right as bishoujo games are starting to thrive. At first, she struggles to adjust, but she eventually joins Alcohol Soft, a small game studio that hires her as an illustrator. Though she assumes her future skills will give her an edge, the outdated technology and art styles force her to adapt quickly if she wants to make her mark in this new era.
