The Detective Is Already Dead
Kimizuka Kimihiko has a knack for stumbling into trouble, so it’s hardly shocking when his routine flight takes a sudden turn for the worse-someone needs a detective, fast. His usual strategy of staying out of the way fails when a silver-haired girl named Siesta, who claims to be a detective, drags him into the case as her unwilling assistant. That moment marks the start of an unbelievable journey across the world, one where they risk their lives to dismantle criminal groups, stop disasters, and save countless people. But their grand adventure comes to an abrupt end three years later when Siesta dies. Determined to leave that life behind, Kimihiko spends a year keeping his head down, trying to live a normal high school existence. Then, just as he thinks he’s escaped the past, a girl who looks eerily like Siesta barges into his life, ready to turn his quiet days upside down.
